Frequently Asked Questions
Is the product EPA Registered?
The product has the following EPA registrations, EPA Reg. No.74436-1 and EPA Reg. No 74436-2.
Can EasyDECON 200 work on Petroleum products?
The formulation, with its ability to break down the more biodegradable components, provides a method of cleaning chemical and petroleum spills.
How much product needs to be applied?
If EasyDECON 200 is applied as a foam, Global Decon Solutions recommends 2-3 inch layer of foam to all suspected surfaces. Dwell time is 30 minutes to neutralize any contamination. What is the Kill Time? The only way to determine if contamination is neutralized is to conduct sampling operations. This procedure requires trained personnel in sampling techniques. A laboratory with trained staff must analyze biological samples to verify the results.
What Surfaces that Can Be Treated?
Easy DECON 200 is safe for virtually all known surfaces. The solution is an aqueous base solution so paper products will wrinkle after the solution is applied and allowed to dry. Concrete, asphalt, wood, ceramic tile, carpet, fabric, leather and aluminum are just a few of the surfaces tested.
What is the booster in the EasyDECON 200 product for?
The Booster is a material that reacts with the peroxide to form a high energy and fast acting oxidizer that reacts with various parts of the mycotoxin molecule, breaking down and neutralizing it.
What is the optimal temperature for storing EasyDECON 200?
Global Decon Solutions recommends keeping the solution in a cool, dry environment protected from direct sunlight or UV light. EasyDECON 200 will freeze at 24 degrees Fahrenheit (-4 Celsius) and will boil at 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 Celsius). The product will begin to degrade at a higher rate when subjected to temperatures in excess of 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 Celsius).
How long should you leave the product before cleaning?
In lab tests, a 15 to 30 minute period was required. As more applications are introduced into more the time period may differ. Make sure enough time is allotted to allow product to seep into cracks and crevices to find the mold. The more porous the material, the longer the application time.
What happens to mold spore once neutralized?
Allergens are reduced to non-detectable level.
Why use EasyDECON 200?
With traditional remediation, some protocols do not cover areas that are not directly impacted by water and mold. All mycotoxins and allergens are neutralized during the application process. Time and cost are a big issue in traditional remediation and our process can greatly reduce those two areas.
Most of our applicators offer a Guarantee of NO CHARGE if the structure does not pass the clearance test.
